Objectives
ARISE project’s overarching goal is to develop a range of innovative integration approaches for Lithium-ion-Phosphate Solid State Battery (LFP SSB) gen-4 cells for the Fiat 500e city car. More specifically ARISE will target the following objectives:
To develop an innovative cell – chassis design concept that has the potential to have a gravimetric energy density of ~184.6 Wh/kg

To design and develop a smart thermal management system for Gen4 solid-state cells

To develop a battery management system for Gen4 solid state cells that is based on SMART principles and is energy efficient

To perform physical prototyping and virtual vehicle size validation

To conduct eco-design, life cycle assessment (LCA), and techno-economic analysis (TEA), including social aspects
